Babu Sunder Singh College of Pharmacy was founded by Babu Sunder Singh Foundation, a registered society of national repute with an objective to educate the masses in the various fields of Technology, Management, Pharmaceutical Sciences adequately supported by group of multinational companies & modern infrastructure Babu Sunder Singh Group of Institutions Lucknow is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (Formerly UPTU ) , Board of Technical Education (BTE) approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) & Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Babu Sunder Singh Institute of Technology and Management was established in 2010 and offers M.Tech, B.Tech, Diploma Courses in various disciplines of Engineering. Babu Sunder Singh College of Pharmacy offers Bachelor and Diploma Pharmacy courses.

Mr. Anand Shekhar Singh started his journey with the belief to provide eminence education to young minds in Engineering to convert them into effectual technocrats. He wants them to be ready to combat tough challenges in the competitive world and also substantiate to be a respectable human being. The Campus of College is spread over 30 acres and is located near NH-24B, surrounded by lush green field. The institute is 35 kilometers from Charbagh Railway Station, Lucknow and 34 kilometers from Amausi Airport, Lucknow.

FOR ADMISSION INTO B. PHARM COURSE :


1. First Year - B. Pharm

1. Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M.) and or Biology (P.C.B./P.C.M.B.) as optional subjects individually. Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.

2. B. Pharm Lateral Entry (to Third Semester)

2.  Candidate shall have pass in D. Pharm. Course From an recognised PCI approved institution under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

FOR ADMISSION INTO D. PHARM COURSE

Candidate shall be admitted to Diploma in Pharmacy -

He/She had passed any of the following examinations in all the optional subjects and compulsory subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and /or Mathematics including English as one of the).

Compulsory Subjects

A).   Intermediate examination in Science; The First Year of the three year degree course in science; 10+2 Examination(Academic stream) in Science.

B).   Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to the above examination.

The Department of Pharmacy is currently focusing following areas of research

1. Development of noble bioactive phytochemicals from rich ethno-botanical sources of India

2. Bioassay guided fractionation of active phytoconstituents from natural products using conventional and modern chromatography and spectroscopic techniques

3. Pharmacodynamic, Pharmacokinetic, Biochemical and Histopathological studies involved in drug action

4. Application and development of new and innovative protocols in experimental pharmacology

5. Herbal formulation development and standardization.

6. In the social areas like survey of slum areas people for their health status

7. Drug Discovery and Development

8. Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics

9.Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Control

10. Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacotherapy

11. Pharmaceutical Technology and Drug Delivery Systems

12. Pharmacy Practice and Healthcare Outcomes

13. Pharmacogenomics and Personalized Medicine

14. Medication Safety and Pharmacovigilance.

Administrative Policy

Every teaching staff has to maintain the following for proper conduction of class and to monitor the performance of every student.

Student Counseling

Counseling to students and staffs are an important social activity taken up by BSSCOP. We have a part time counselor in the institute for regularly counseling of the students.

  • Faculty development programs ?

    NPTEL course have been registered faculty member to develop skills.

  • Farewell ?

    The second farewell ceremony of D. Pharm (2021-2023) students was on 02/06/2023. The outgoing students were given academic certificates and momentous by Er. Anand Shekhar Singh (Chairman) and Mrs. Rina Singh (Vice Chairperson) of Babu Sunder Singh Group of Institutions, Nigohan, Lucknow.

  • Remedial Classes ?

    The weak students are identified from their class performance and sessional marks and such students are given special coaching by conducting remedial classes. Proctor cards are also being maintained to monitor the performance of the students.

  • Seminars/ Guest Lecturer ?

    In this academic year, the College of Pharmacy has conducted 04 guest lecturer and 01 workshop by inviting experts from industry and academics. These seminars were organized to make the students aware of industrial practices and technological advancements.

  • PTI (Parents and Teachers Interaction Meet) ?

    The first PTI meeting for the Ist semester was organized on October 2022, after publishing the results of their first internal assessment tests. The PTI meeting of Ist semester students was conducted in the month of October. In addition to the formal meeting, the HODs of various departments regularly interact with the parents of the weak students to monitor their performance

  • Industrial Tour?

    All the students of B. Pharm III year visited “Organic India” Industrial tour in April 2023.

  • Linkage with Community ?

    The institute imparts in different ways to enhance the heath of community by organizing eye, health checkup and blood donation camps.

  • Student performance evaluation card ?

    We have introduced student’s performance evaluation card which is sent to the parents after every internal assessment test and semester to enable them to keep abreast of the performance of their wards while attending parent teacher interactive sessions

  • Rain water Harvesting and Purification Project ?

    Our college adopted rain water harvesting system for preserving our precious water resources.

  • Cultural activity and photographic club ?

    The inter house competition has unearthed many hidden talents among our students in music, dance and other cultural activities. To encourage them we have started a music, dance and photographic club this year. This club takes care of all the internal cultural and photographic requirements.

  • Soft Skill Development Programme?

    “Medha training” consultancy from, Lucknow, U.P. for regular yearlong training and grooming of students and technical staff Dr. Alok Kumar Shukla (Director) is appointed to enhance and empower students on the newer paradigms of knowledge driven economy. Seminars are conducted for students by experts from industry and internal faculty.

  • Medical Facility ?

    BSSGI group has tie up with Pragati Hospital, Nigohan, Lucknow. The hospitals are well equipped with advance technology. Where the students can avail medical facility.

  • Industrial Training and Visit ?

    All the students of D. Pharm students visited the NBRI facility of CDRI, Lucknow. First-year students of B. Pharm visited CIMAP Lucknow. Third-year students of B. Pharm visited Global Summit 20 organized by the government of India at Lucknow.

  • Pharmaceutical Society?

    Pharmaceutical Society of Babu Sunder Singh College of Pharmacy, Lucknow, organized the National Pharmacy Week 25.9.2022.
